SB: Dawgs Even the Series with Tennessee
The 13th-ranked Georgia softball team defeated No. 7 Tennessee on Saturday in a nine-inning affair, 4-3, in front of a crowd of 2,316 at Jack Turner Stadium. The win evens the weekend series against the Lady Vols.
Georgia improves to 19-3 on the season and 1-1 in SEC play.

- Saturday’s official attendance of 2,316 became the fourth-largest crowd in Jack Turner Stadium history.
- Tyler Ellison provided the walk-off hit, a single through the left side of the infield, to drive in pinch runner Precious Bross and win the game in the ninth inning.

Fifth-ranked Georgia overcame a six-run deficit to post a 16-6 run-rule victory in seven innings over Columbia Saturday at Foley Field and extended its winning streak to 14 games.

• For the second straight game, graduate Ryland Zaborowski hit two home runs and drove in seven runs to pace the offense. He has a team-leading nine home runs and 35 RBI in only 15 games.

“Today was the one where I’d be lying if I told you I was happy with what we did in the first third of that game. We were pretty sloppy today in the first half of the game. It happens when you play a lot of baseball in a row. If you look, we’ve played a lot of teams. We’ve played four or five more games than anybody in our league. You expect a hiccup at some point, but we rallied the troops there. I called them in, got everybody settled back down. I said, “hey, let’s play some baseball. I get it.’”
