Georgia (20-5, 4-2 SEC), under the direction of Ike Cousins head baseball coach Wes Johnson, faces Kennesaw State (10-10) for the second time this season. The clubs met in Kennesaw on March 3 when the Bulldogs posted an 11-1 run-rule victory in eight innings.

Recently, the Bulldogs went to No. 21 Texas A&M and registered its first ever series win in College Station. Also, the Aggies were 14-0 at home this year before the series with the Bulldogs. Georgia hit .283 with 11 home runs during the Texas A&M series, with Sunday’s 18-5 loss skewing the pitching numbers after 9-4 and 8-2 wins in the first two games. Meanwhile, KSU hosted Liberty, and the Owls avoided a sweep with a 4-3 win this past Sunday. The Flames outlasted KSU in the opener, winning 2-0 in 10 innings.

The Bulldogs are 17-4 at home this year, including an 8-5 comeback win over The Citadel last Tuesday, capped by a three-run walk-off home run by Kolby Branch. Georgia holds a 27-11 edge in the series against the Owls and has won the past 10 meetings.
