Georgia clinches South Carolina series with 11-5 Friday night win
The 12th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs clinched an SEC road series over No. 14 South Carolina with an 11-5 decision Friday at Founders Park in front of a crowd of 7,630 and extend their winning streak to seven games.

• Redshirt sophomore Charlie Condon (2-for-5, 1 IBB, 1 RBI) saw his consecutive games with a home run end at eight games, one shy of the NCAA record. In his final at bat in the ninth, he was intentionally walked when the count went to 3-1. Condon did extend his hitting streak to 20 games with a single in the first.
• Sophomore right-hander Leighton Finley started and provided five innings, allowing two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts to improve to 5-1. USC loaded the bases with one out in the fifth, and he struck out the next two Gamecocks to maintain a 10-2 edge.
• Georgia exploded for five runs on five two-out hits to take a 5-1 lead in the fifth. The outburst began with a three-run home run by junior Slate Alford, his 14th of the year.
• Freshman Tre Phelps blasted a three-run home run as part of a five-run fourth that extended Georgia’s lead to 10-1. It was his third home run of the series and eighth of his career.
• Senior Corey Collins, the NCAA leader in OB% at .593, went 3-for-5 with a hit by pitch (HBP). It was his SEC-leading 24th HBP which extends his school record.
• Graduate Brian Zeldin picked up his sixth save by pitching the final four innings with six strikeouts.

WTEN: UGA advanes to NCAA Tournament quarterfinals with win over California
The No. 7 Georgia women’s tennis team wrapped up its final home match of the season and earned its spot in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals after knocking off No. 10 California, 4-2, at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday.

SB: Jayda Kearney and Sara Mosley named First Team All-SEC, Dallis Goodnight second team
“I’m really proud of these three,” head coach Tony Baldwin said. Sara and Jayda have been good players and have experienced a high level of success in this conference for several years now. That is a tough task and a great accomplishment. I’m proud of them both and happy for them to be recognized.
“Dallis has worked so hard to grow her game, and it has really shown. She is a great competitor, and I’m happy for her to be recognized for the season that she has put together.”
This is the third First Team All-SEC appointment for both Mosley and Kearney (2022, 2023, 2024). Kearney was named to the All-Freshman Team in 2021. This is Goodnight’s first all-conference honor of her career.
Kearney, a native of Columbus, New Jersey, led the Bulldogs with 17 RBI in conference play this season, slugging five home runs. She slugged .528 with a .407 on-base clip against SEC opponents. Her 17 RBI tied for 10th most in the league while her 38 total bases finished 11th. She completed the regular season with 17 home runs with 46 RBI, slugging .714 on the season.
Mosley completed SEC play with five home runs and 14 RBI. The Elijay, Georgia native had the most hits of any Bulldog with 24. Her hit total in SEC games finished eighth in the conference, while her 14 runs scored tied for 10th. Her 41 total bases, which led Georgia, finished seventh. On the season, she knocked 16 home runs and led the team with 57 RBI.
Goodnight was Georgia’s top hitter in SEC play, recording a .379 batting average while leading the squad with a .446 on-base percentage and 16 runs scored. Her batting average finished fourth, on-base finished eighth, runs scored seventh, and five stolen bases eighth. Goodnight, who hails from Dacula, Georgia, was Georgia’s top hitter on the season, batting .352. She accumulated 12 stolen bases.
