The trio is currently ranked No. 11 nationally by Rivals.com, as well as No. 12 by 247Sports.com, giving Georgia its third straight top-15 recruiting class of prep prospects. The Bulldogs in the Classes of 2024 and 2023 were ranked No. 10 and No. 15, respectively, by both outlets.

McVey, is a 7-1, 233-pound center from Ellijay, Ga., who is playing at Overtime Elite this season. Nationally, McVey is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN.com, and he has been ranked as one of the nation’s top-25 center prospects in the On3.com composite and by ESPN.com. McVey played his first three years of prep basketball at Gilmer County High School, where he was named first-team all-state for Class 3A by the Atlanta Journal-Consitution last season. He scored 1,448 points and recorded school-record tallies of 864 rebounds and 168 blocks while helping Gilmer County reach three consecutive state tournaments for the first time in school history.

Stagg, is a 6-8, 225-pound power forward from Chesapeake, Va., who is in his second season at the IMG Academy. A consensus four-star prospect, Stagg is ranked among the nation’s top-100 prospects by 247Sports.com (No. 73), Rivals.com (No. 86) and On3.com (No. 92). A year ago, Stagg helped IMG compile a 19-9 record en route to finishing No. 12 in the final edition of the SCNext top-25 national poll. He was a first-team all-state performer at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake during the 2022-23 season, averaging 15.0 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.5 blocks while leading the Tigers to a 25-2 finish and the semifinals of the Virginia 6A state tourney.

Wilkins, a 6-9, 175-pound, small forward from Loganville, Ga., and Grayson High School is the son of former Bulldog and hall-of-famer Dominique Wilkins. Jacob is a four-star recruit ranked among the nation’s top-50 players by every major recruiting service – No. 35 by Rivals.com, No. 45 by ESPN.com, No. 49 by On3.com and No. 50 by 247Sports.com. Wilkins was named first-team all-state for Class 7A by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a junior after averaging 14.1 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists for the Rams. He posted a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds in the Class 7A state final to lead Grayson to its first-ever state title and a final ranking of No. 19 in the SCNext top-25 poll.

Dominique Wilkins was named SEC Player of the Year in 1981 while leading Georgia to an appearance in the NIT, the Bulldogs’ first-ever postseason bid. He was tabbed All-America a second-straight time in 1982, the same season he helped lead Georgia to the NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden. Though he played only three seasons at Georgia, Wilkins departed Athens as the Bulldogs’ career scoring leader with 1,688 points, a 21.6 ppg average over 78 outings. He was the No. 3 overall pick in the 1982 NBA Draft before enjoying an illustrious professional career primarily with the Atlanta Hawks that included being a nine-time All-Star and seven-time All-NBA selection. Wilkins has been inducted into both the Naismith and College Basketball Halls of Fame.
