MBB: Dawgs Continue Season Prep With Exhibition vs. Morehouse Tonight
The Georgia Bulldogs will continue making final preparations for their 2021-22 regular season on Friday evening when they host Morehouse in an exhibition at Stegeman Coliseum.
Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m., and the game will be free without admission charged. Seating will be general admission. The contest will be available via SEC Network + and air on the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network statewide.
The Bulldogs will christen their regular-season schedule next Tuesday when they host Florida International at 7:00 p.m. at Stegeman Coliseum.
GeGeorgia’soster features four returning letterwinners and ten newcomers.
The Bulldogs started five newcomers in their previous exhibition at Charlotte on Oct. 24, with sixth-year seniors Aaron Cook and Jailyn Ingram, senior Braelen Bridges, and sophomores Jabri Abdur-Rahim and Kario Oquendo getting the nod. Ingram led Georgia in that outing with 19 points, while Abdur-Rahim added 12 points and Jaxon Etter chipped in 10 off the bench.
This Fall, Morehouse, a Division II school, is returning to action after canceling its 2020-21 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Morehouse played an exhibition at Georgia Tech last Sunday, falling 89-52 to the Yellow Jackets. Two seasons ago, the Maroon Tigers finished 16-13 overall and advanced to the semifinals of the SIAC Tournament.
FrFriday’same will be the third between the Bulldogs and Maroon Tigers in a decade and one day.
WTEN: Mell Reasco Advances to Round of 16 at the ITA National Fall Championship
Freshman Mell Reasco continues strong play, earning her first collegiate win over an ITA-ranked opponent at the ITA National Fall Championship on Thursday, Nov. 4.
Reasco, a native of Esmeraldas, Ecuador, took on Pepperdine’s No. 53 Lisa Zaar in the Round of 32. In a tight battle, Reasco topped the junior in straight sets, 7-6(7), 6-4.
“Mell had a fantastic win today at the ITA Fall Nationals,” said Georgia head coach Jeff Wallace. “She beat Lisa Zaar, the number four seed. We are all looking forward to her continued success.”
Reasco will face either No. 31 Kari Miller or No. 69 Tiphanie Fiquet on Friday, Nov. 5 in the Round of 16, with the Quarterfinals schedule to follow.

MTEN: Bulldogs Conclude Fall Season at Clemson Invitational
Fall Final
Georgia will conclude its fall season, sending eight memen’sennis program members to the Clemson Invitational. The Bulldogs have competed in five fall tournaments, scoring 64 total wins- 45 singles and 19 doubles wins.
Fantastic Freshmen
Thomas Paulsell and Miguel Perez Pena have excelled so far in freshmen campaigns. Paulsell, a native of Seattle, posted a 6-3 record for the Fall. Perez Pena, of Spain, has accumulated a 6-4 record this Fall. The freshmen look to build on their momentum going into their last fall tournament and the spring dual season.

Georgia boasts five rankings: A quartet of individuals, No. 12 Trent Bryde, No.15 Philip Henning, No. 23 Hamish Stewart and No. 122 Blake Croyder. In doubles, the Bulldogs feature one ranked team, the grad transfer tandem of Hamish Stewart and Tristan McCormick at No.23.
