WTEN:  Anastasiia Lopata Advances to ITF Hilton Head W35 Semifinal

 Anastasiia Lopata secured her spot in the ITF Hilton Head W35 singles semifinal after her quarterfinal victory at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center on Friday.

• Coming off three consecutive victories including a win over Bulldog teammate Dasha Vidmanova in the second round, Anastasiia Lopata faced off against WTA #598 Karina Miller in the singles quarterfinal. Lopata opened the match strong, cruising to a 6-1 first set win. The second set proved to be more competitive between both sides as Miller came away with the set 6-4 to level the match at 1-1. In the third, it was Lopata who came out best in the late stages as she took the set and match 6-1, 4-6, 6-4.
• The victory today sets up Lopata to compete in her second singles semifinal in her last two ITF tournaments, having advanced to the singles semifinal in Edmond.
