WTEN: Anastasiia Lopata Wins ITF Hilton Head W35 Singles Title

Anastasiia Lopata secured her first pro singles title after winning the ITF Hilton Head W35 singles final at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center on Sunday.

• After reaching the semifinal in Edmond, Anastasiia Lopata played in her first career ITF title match where she faced off against WTA #304 Elvina Kalieva. The opening set went back-and-forth to start as both players leveled at 3-3 halfway through the frame before Lopata won three straight games to take the set 6-3. Moving to the second, all momentum remained on Lopata’s side as she jumped out to a 4-1 lead. A short comeback bid from Kalieva was cut short as Lopata closed out the win 6-3, 6-2 to earn her first pro singles title.
