Georgia has received it’s 2nd commitment from a 2022 defensive end from the state of Georgia in as many days. Darris Smith, a 6’6″ 225 pound prospect from Appling County has committed to the ‘G’.

Smith is currently rated a 3-Star by recruiting services, but that is likely to change as there is a lot of upside to his game. With the kind of length that Smith has and the athleticism to match, the sky is the ceiling as an edge defender. Smith had offers from Miami, Louisville, Auburn, Michigan State, South Carolina, Tennessee and others. Smith now joins Tyre West and CJ Washington in the 2022 class as players that can create havoc and set the edge for the Georgia defense in the future.
