OFFENSE DAWG BONE: TIE
 
If any team can compete with Alabama, it’s Georgia. Alabama scores 49 points while Georgia scores 40.1 points a game. However, Georgia leads the SEC in rushing offense averaging 259.83 yards a game. However, Alabama does have the No. 2 passing offense with 332.1 yards a game. The two go back and forth for each category.
The Tide has Tua Tagovailoa who can make everything out of nothing. With Jerry Jeudy, Jaylen Waddle and Henry Ruggs III, Alabama will likely try to expose Georgia’s secondary. As for Georgia, it’ll be D’Andre Swift and Elijah Holyfield looking to run over Alabama’s defense. Swift is 25 yards away from 1000 yards on the season. Either way, this game is going to be exciting to watch and likely have a lot of points scored.
 
 
DEFENSE DAWG BONE: TIE
 
Georgia and Alabama both get the defense Dawg Bone for being two of the best defenses in the SEC. Neither team allows opponents to score a lot of points and both defenses know how to make teams quit. On paper, Alabama’s defense beats Georgia in every category. However, for Georgia to do well in this game, the Bulldogs need to make Tagovailoa uncomfortable. If the Bulldogs can surprise him with a blitz from time to time, they can maybe force an error or two. Georgia’s two biggest strengths that it should utilize on Saturday are its youthfulness and ability to contain the edge. If the Bulldogs do that, it could contain Alabama’s offense just enough to seal the deal.
 
 
SPECIAL TEAMS DAWG BONE: GEORGIA
 
Rodrigo Blankenship and Mecole Hardman are two bad men and are the reason Georgia keeps the Special Teams Dawg Bone. Georgia ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 1 in the SEC in punt returns while it ranks No. 2 in kick off returns. Mecole Hardman is a hard man to get down and he is hungry for another return.
 
Blankenship has 76 touchbacks on the season, which is 35 more than Alabama’s kicker Joseph Bulovas. He has ice in his veins and fire in his eyes and he will do everything he can to help his team keep the SEC championship trophy at home.
 
 
COACHING DAWG BONE: ALABAMA
 
Nick Saban receives the Dawg Bone because it’s hard not to give one of the greatest coaches in college football credit where it’s due. He’s coached Alabama to yet another SEC Championship and the second undefeated season. If any coach knows how to win an SEC championship, it is Saban. He will have his team prepared and ready to fight a hot Georgia.
 
 
OVERALL DAWG BONE: GEORGIA
 
Georgia receives the overall Dawg Bone because it’s time for revenge against the Tide. Despite Kirby Smart saying it has nothing to do with revenge, it has everything to do with revenge. The Bulldogs were one play away from winning a national championship, and the Tide cut it short. These two teams meet again on the same turf in less than a year, this game should be epic, and Georgia should be the Tide’s first true challenge of the year. The Bulldogs keep chopping wood and won’t quit till they win it all, and that starts in Atlanta.
