Offense Dawg Bone: Georgia
 
Georgia doesn’t have to depend on one offensive element to stay in games. As one of the most balanced offenses in the SEC, the Bulldogs average 221.63 yards toting the rock and 236.3 through the air. This ability to use both the pass and the run give Georgia the advantage over the Wildcats.
 
Kentucky, on the other hand, is a run-heavy team with Benny Snell Jr. leading the way. The junior is 65 yards away from 1000 on the season. Snell averages 5.2 yards a carry and doesn’t go down easily. Kentucky quarterback, Terry Wilson along with, receiver, Lynn Bowden Jr. are two other playmakers Kentucky can use to put up points.
 
For Georgia, Jake Fromm must continue to build his confidence and use the arsenal of receivers he has around him. However, if Georgia wants a big win, then D’Andre Swift and Elijah Holyfield need to make a statement on the ground. These two must exert their dominance this weekend and let the Wildcats know who the real running back U is.
 
 
Defense Dawg Bone: TIE
 
Kentucky has had a lot of success this season, but it hasn’t faced anyone as talented or deep as Georgia. The Bulldogs have a young, but loaded defense and continues to improve each week.
 
The focus for Georgia will be stopping the run of course, but the Bulldogs come into this game ranked No. 1 in pass defense in the SEC, while the Wildcats rank No. 14 in pass offense. If Kentucky is forced to throw, this is where Georgia could cause havoc. However, the Bulldogs must slow down Snell and company first.
 
For the Bulldogs to ultimately take the Dawg Bone, they must force Kentucky into third and long situations and cause turnovers. Georgia must also do a better job tackling in open field situations. Like last week, this game could be decided based on who controls the line of scrimmage better and gives up fewer big plays.
 
 
Special Teams Dawg Bone: Georgia
 
Georgia has one of the best return units in the SEC. The Bulldogs rank No. 1 in punt returns in the SEC, averaging 17.64 yards and No. 3 in kickoff returns, averaging 23.25 yards. Kentucky allows 9.87 a return on average, so if the coverage is there, the Bulldogs could take another to the house.
 
 
Coaching Dawg Bone: Georgia
 
Kirby Smart keeps his Dawg Bone for his ability to make sure Georgia stays focused. The Bulldogs control their destiny and can still accomplish the goals they set during the preseason. Similar to last year, the loss doesn’t define the team, and Smart has implemented that into the players’ heads. This team is ready to keep chopping and show no mercy to its final SEC East opponent.
 
 
Overall Dawg Bone: Georgia
 
The Bulldogs know how to play successfully at this level as they are 6-3 against ranked opponents since last season. This matchup is Georgia’s third top-25 game in a row. Kentucky has never won the SEC East (having two league crowns in 1950 and 1976), so this game is probably the biggest in Wildcat football history. Georgia knows what it takes to win the East, and it will look to school Kentucky about how to do it on Saturday.
