Offense Dawg Bone: TIE
Georgia and South Carolina both get the offense Dawg Bone. Both teams faced lower tiered schools, so this game will be a true test.
 
Jake Fromm and Jake Bentley return and both can make plays with their arms. The Bulldogs and Gamecocks both used 11 different receivers in week 1. Deebo Samuel returns for South Carolina and already has 56 yards on the season. He’s a key playmaker for the Gamecocks and will likely have a huge role against the Bulldogs.
However, this game will likely be a running battle. D’Andre Swift, James Cook, Elijah Holyfield combined for 133 yards and two touchdowns. South Carolina’s Rico Dowdle had 105 yards and Ty’Son Williams had 82 yards. Both teams have plenty of running backs to choose from and work with. The game could come down to who runs the ball better.
 
 
Defense Dawg Bone: Georgia
The Bulldogs get the defensive Dawg Bone after pitching one of the only shutouts last week in the entire country. Georgia ranks as the No. 5 total defense allowing just 152 total yards. South Carolina’s defense ranks as the No. 19 total defense.
 
Georgia got a lot of experience in week one and look for that to continue with week two. Tyson Campbell was the only true freshman to start for the Bulldogs and had three total tackles and one pass break-up. However, the Gamecocks need to worry about J.R. Reed and Deandre Baker as these two are the most experienced in the secondary. Georgia needs to be able to shut down a Gamecock team that rushed for 263 yards and 294 yards in the air. The Bulldogs may have a young defense, but it’s deep and quite talented. Look for Georgia to wear down the Gamecocks and make them quit.
 
 
Special Teams Dawg Bone: Georgia
Georgia has one of the best kickers in the country with Rodrigo Blankenship. He has eight touchbacks already. The Bulldogs punter, Jake Camarda averages 55 yards a punt with a long of 63. There’s one thing for sure, the Bulldogs will push teams deep in their own territory and let the defense get to work.
 
 
Coaching Dawg Bone: Georgia
Kirby Smart receives the coaching Dawg Bone because he’s managed to pull in the No. 1 recruiting class and have a majority of them ready to play in the SEC. The 2017 SEC coach of the year continues to teach his teams to give no mercy. Guys are already buying into the program and Smart is the one to thank for that. His process is finally implemented and it shows through the players.
 
 
Overall Dawg Bone: South Carolina
South Carolina gets the overall Dawg Bone because it’s at home in Columbia. The crowd at Williams-Brice Stadium can be quite intimidating and even louder. The Gamecocks have had this game circled since last year, and expect them to throw everything at Georgia including the kitchen sink. This game will be Georgia’s first true test of the season and likely one of the toughest opponents it faces all year.
