The Dawgs already received a commitment from 2017 Philadelphia, PA running back D’Andre Swift earlier this month, and his cousin, Mark Webb Jr., didn’t waste any time in also announcing his commitment to the University of Georgia.

Webb Tweeted out on September 12th that he would be making his announcement today at half-time during the Archbiship Woood and St. Joseph’s Prep high school football game, but on Thursday night moved up the time to before kickoff.

The 6 foot 2.5 and 203 lbs wide receiver out of Warminster, PA is Georgia’s third pass catcher for the 2017 class, joining Trey Blount and Matt Landers. Webb has been tremendous for Archbishop Wood High School over the last 3 years when he gets the opportunity for the ball to come his way, catching 27 passes for 896 yards and 17 touchdowns. That is a whopping 33.2 yards per catch and TD every 1.5 receptions.

Mark Webb Jr.’s announcement gives Georgia 16 verbal commitments for 2017 so far, a recruiting class that could end up being one of the top classes in the country.
