With the class of 2021 largely wrapped up for the Georgia Bulldogs, the coaching staff is now able to more intently focus on the classes of 2022 and 2023. In every class, Georgia tries to dominate the Peach State. There is so much talent in-state for the Dawgs that not taking advantage of it would be malpractice, so to speak, for a coaching staff. The Dawgs got their 2021 quarterback from just 15 minutes down the road from campus in Prince Avenue’s Brock Vandagriff. Just recently UGA offered North Cobb 2023 quarterback Malachi Singleton.
Singleton had a breakout year for the Warriors of North Cobb in 2020. The 6’2″ 215 pound, dual-threat quarterback turned heads early on in the season by helping North Cobb defeat Buford in their 2nd game of the season, and the momentum never really stopped. Singleton displayed an extremely strong arm, with great downfield accuracy, and Singleton is lethal with his legs as well. With such a solid frame and breakaway speed to match, Singleton is a problem for opposing defenses. The headaches he gave opponents was plenty to impress Dell McGee and the Georgia coaching staff. The Dawgs offered Singleton a week ago today on December 16th and the GHSA Region 3-7A Offensive Player of the Year joined me on the latest edition of The Inside Slant to discuss the offer and his tremendous season.
