DDT: A Valentine’s Day Wish That Georgia Fans Will Love

Social media can be a place that is also unbearable on Valentine’s Day. Lots of mushy, over the top post on a purely commercialized holiday. However, if you’re a Georgia Bulldog fan, there is one Valentine’s Day post that will make your go pitter patter. None other than the Mother of 2022 premier, dare I say elite, target and in-state standout Malaki Starks sent out a special Valentine’s Day wish to her husband and her extremely talented son. The attire in the picture was very much so Georgia themed.

Starks is an absolute must have in the 2022 class in my opinion. With Starks living just 30 minutes from the UGA campus, Georgia can simply not afford to let a player with his athleticism, play making ability, and poise elude their grasp. Outside of Gunner Stockton, Kojo Antwi, and Oscar Delp, I’ve venture to say their isn’t a player that would be more key to the 2022 class than if the Dawgs are able to sign Starks. In fact, Starks, given that he’s a safety in college more than likely and the depth at that position for Georgia is lacking, I’d say Starks would even surpass Delp and Antwi on the wish list. Nearing 6’2″ 210 pounds, with tremendous agility and top end speed as well, Starks has the body, the instinct, and the football acumen to play a key role early on in his college career at the highest levels. Starks is certainly self aware and understands his worth as a prospect as he’s selected Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia as his top 3 schools to focus on for the remainder of his recruitment.

Georgia and Alabama are certainly no strangers to duking it out for a coveted defensive prospect. Most recently Georgia lost out on a terrific safety out of Florida in Terrion Arnold to the Crimson Tide. The on-field rivalry of Clemson and Georgia is set to renew on September 4th of this upcoming fall as well. Also, Dabo Swinney and company have certainly had their share of success in raiding the Peach State to help build their rise to prominence. In getting to talk to those around Starks, it’s evident how important family is to him and that’s where Georgia has an advantage with Starks I believe. Georgia has been recruiting Starks as hard as anyone and when that family feel and element is there, especially for a young man that is so loved by and so close to his own, well it seems like a natural fit. Starks could make his college decision at any time, but has alluded to the fact that he’d like to get his officials in one the COVID restrictions are ended. Starks may very well pick one of the other two schools, but as of today I believe that the family feel at Georgia will win the day and ultimately Starks will part of something special should he in fact choose to play between the hedges.
