JT Daniels obviously did a ton for Georgia on the field in the 31 – 24 win against Mississippi State. Over 400 yards of passing is mind boggling in a quarterback’s first performance in over 16 months, coming off a torn ACL. However, more so than the yardage and the victory on Saturday, JT Daniels just did wonders for Georgia’s brand and their 2022 recruiting class specifically.

For a couple years, Kirby Smart and the Georgia offense have been trying to unshackle the Georgia passing game. Being able to push the ball down the field is what seems to be the common thread between all the teams that have won the College Football Playoff Championship. Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, they all had a modern, dynamic passing game. Kirby Smart, to his credit, has been able to convince top of the line receivers like George Pickens and Jermaine Burton, among others, to come to Athens despite the offensive struggles. This performance by JT, Monken, Pickens, Burton, and company now gives the Georgia coaching staff hard evidence to show receivers and tight ends going forward on the recruiting trail, not just a image of what can be to sell.

Oscar Delp, 2022 4-Star tight end from West Forsyth High School in Cumming, was in attendance to see this aerial attack. Delp is a must-have, can’t miss type of prospect. Having him there to see the Monken offense he could be a part of reach near peak potential has to be encouraging for Georgia. Todd Monken has a good relationship with Kojo Antwi from Lambert High school as well. Antwi is a 2022, 4-Star wide out that reminds me of Malcolm Mitchell and is well adept at catching the deep ball.

The point is, big time wide receiver and tight ends that Georgia are going after in the future now have hope and tangible evidence of what offense can look like going forward.
