Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins is a highly coveted defensive tackle out of Gaffney, South Carolina. Ingram-Dawkins, known by many as TID, made headlines on Monday by announcing that he has made his college decision and will be making that decision public on Friday.
I will be committing this Friday October 30th. #GodsPlan

TID is a 6’6″ 300+ pound defensive tackle that has the agility and explosiveness of a power forward. That’s not a coincidence either. A year ago, the 4-Star interior lineman was under 6’4″ and just over 260 pounds. At that weight and size TID was a talented basketball player as well as a football standout. With the amount of size that Ingram-Dawkins has added, combined with the athleticism he possesses, it’s easy to see why teams like Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Alabama have all been vying for his commitment throughout his recruitment. In the past month it has seemed like a 3 team race between Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Georgia disposed of Tennessee in dominant fashion, and while the Dawgs have not faced the Gamecocks yet, it’s clear that the momentum and the stability of those two programs are headed in opposite directions.
Tray Scott has been extremely consistent in his recruit of Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins. By all accounts the two have built a strong bond and in talking to other recruits I’ve come to know that learn Scott comes across as genuine and establishes commonality and care with recruits away from football. This relationship and the fact that the Bulldogs’ main two contenders in South Carolina and Tennessee have each suffered multiple blowout losses just before the announcement of his commitment date leads me to believe that Georgia is poised to add TID to it’s 2021 class.
If Georgia does land Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins it will be a big boost to the interior defensive line depth for the Dawgs in 2021. Malik Herring, Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Julian Rochester are all more likely than not to leave the program for the pros, despite this year not counting towards any player’s eligibility due to COVID-19. TID would join Elberton, Georgia native Marlin Dean in the defensive tackle position group in the 2021 class. Such an addition would likely leave Georgia with one more spot to fill in the middle of the defensive line in 2021.

Da Vowels will be lucky to win one more game!!!!!!!
I nooooooooo, not so fast my friend. Captain Phil said, “We’re back!” LOL!!!!
Hello Joe,
hope you had a great day.
upvote for the vowels.
it is deer hunting season and the bright orange goes well with their unins.
It was a good day. How was yours?
Well, that was fun. They need to come up with a contrast that doesn’t make you want to pee when the put it in the IV. Of course, I probably could have also not drank two cups of coffee before hand either, lol.
The screen also flashes, which is loads of fun. How much longer is this experiment going to last?
I’m done. I just have to wait here for another half an hour or so to make sure I don’t have a reaction to the contrast. From my Rad Tech days, if I remember right, most people that have a reaction to the contrast usually do so in the first few minutes. I’ve never had a reaction to it; so, I expect to be out here shortly
Kirby said in one of his recent pressers that the QBs are constantly being evaluated. I’m sure Monken has a lot of input. Mathis got the hook after winning the job in practice. Every practice and game is an audition if you don’t have a lot of proven game experience. I’m looking forward to the day that UGA is known as QB U.
If Mathis truly won in practice and all he got was 5 drives to prove himself behind a shakey OL what does that say?
Not really sure, I’d be guessing. Belue said almost throwing a pick and not getting out of bounds before he got hammered got Mathis pulled. Seemed to shake his confidence, kept tiptoeing out of bounds when he came back in late. I’m sure if Bennett plays bad enough, he’ll get the hook too and somebody else will get a chance. If Mathis comes in and balls out or somebody else, I’m sure the coaches will re-evaluate. I don’t think anything’s set in stone, it’s an unproven group.
We been up and down at QB ever since Murray graduated
Even when Murray was here, there were fans who wanted Richtto play Hutson when AM had a bad series or game. You can back to When Greene and DJ were on the team, and there a lot of fans who thought Shockley should have played over David.

No brace!
He apparently hasn’t been wearing a brace for the past 2 or 3 weeks as he wasn’t wearing it on the sidelines for the UT and/or Bama games.
^This
But I suppose one doesn’t need a brace (or helmet, shoulder pads, etc.) when there’s virtually no chance of getting PT.
I haven’t paid any attention . Been too mad at Bennett to notice
I can see being disappointed in Bennett’s performance against bama. But I’m not not sure why you would be mad at him. He didn’t have a good day for sure, but the effort was there.
3 ints and another loss to bama! Yeah I’m mad!!!! https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.0.0/svg/1f601.svg :wpds_exclamation:
Fake news, he transferred!
This guy might as well quit, he ain’t beating out SBIV!
Looks like no one can beat out lil Bennett
Got any pics of QB1, Greg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????

They told me 2020 was going to hell in a handbag. I guess they were right!
Is a trick
It seems to me we have one ‘show-er’ in in practice (SBIV) and it’s unclear if we have any game day ‘growers.’ People can say we are wasting a good defense by trying to break in a guy who can also help us next year. But frankly our D is gonna take a large step back (how could it not), and we are gonna need a greatly boosted amount of offensive production next year or UF will pants us, along with Clemson. Hell UF could pants us this year. Beck must TRULY be a deer in the headlights if he’s not even as ready as Mathis. All the JTD rumors are bananas, particularly if it’s HIS doctor not letting him play. It’s not been proven to me that all of the secrecy that Kirby uses around these topics provides us any clear advantage. Also, as long as he’s being honest with the players, it shouldn’t be a surprise to hear Kirby say Beck’s not ready in a news conference. I just think Kirby carries himself, a bit, in way where it’s like ‘how dare you challenge my knowledge.’ And that’s true, but it’s REALLY bad optics. I assume recruits are getting the truth and that’s why they still get on board. If I was 18, and this was all the info I had, I’d probably go check out what Auburn was selling too.
I don’t know if I agree with your one ‘show-er’ in practice comment because apparently, D’wan did enough in practice and scrimmages to enter the season as our starting QB but looked completely out of control and inept during the 2 quarters he had to keep that role. The elephant in the room here is that neither of the experienced guys who transferred in who many believed were the instant fix to our offense panned out for whatever reason (health, hurt feelings, truly opted out, etc.). Unless a coach or player leaks the facts, I suppose none of us will ever truly know what happened with Newman and JTD and at this point, it’s kinda irrelevant as we have to prepare to play 6 more regular season games with the kids currently on the roster who are physically capable of performing their responsibilities. I think Kirby has had ample opportunity to help clarify some of the confusion around JTDs circumstances but for whatever reason, has elected to not do so. While I understand that Kirby’s job can’t be primarily to appease the fanbase, I think he’s going to have to learn that we are the team’s ‘customers’ and therefore, he needs to do a bit better job in helping those customers understand some of the things that are significantly impacting the program, particularly as it relates to the absolute most important position on the field.
I completely agree with your last sentiment, and almost typed that too. Our eyeballs and bank accounts pay his salary and for his team’s nice facilities and that helicopter he flies around in.
As to whether Dwan was a show-er in practice, I think believing that requires we know more about what is really going on with JTD and what the real reason for Newman’s departure is. The ‘when the lights are on and the band is playing’ saying is real, but if Dwan truly showed enough in practice, I would think he would have likely gotten another opportunity in a game to prove it. I’m kind of wondering if he showed ‘just enough’ in practice, with the hopes his athleticism would make up for any deficiencies. And perhaps the coaches thought the could scheme around it until he was more up to speed.
I know you’re 4 hours behind us so don’t necessarily assume you read all the comments from earlier in the day but I’ve had 6 quarters to assess D’wan’s ability to QB the team and they’ve all been pretty consistent from my perspective. He just looks panicked and out of control and that impacts the rest of the team who is staring at their leader each time they huddle up. As examples, against Arky, he took a huge hit running the ball for a play that wasn’t going to result in a first down and then stepped out of bounds short of the first down on a play where a defender didn’t force him out. Those plays demonstrated to me that his decision making is lacking and that’s a huge red flag for someone playing the most important position on the field. Given all he’s been through and his overall character, I was really pulling for the kid to have a great game against Arky and have tremendous success playing QB, but I honestly don’t have any faith in him based upon what I’ve seen in game type environments.
Saw your comment about not discussing further so will honor that, but sufficed to say we are not in agreement here, haha. Ah message boards.
You would have more info than you could process if we got 30 minutes at practice and in-person interviews with players – and, of course, that’s why we don’t have access. I’m discounting covid because Kirby had cut-off practice observation before covid happened – we have not attended a practice since November last year. There were a couple of open bowl practices last year but that was mandated by the Sugar Bowl and they were walk-throughs
I understand all that Greg, but I don’t think it’s making a leap of faith to assume that D’wan had done enough in practice and scrimmages (particularly based on Kirby’s repeated comments that every position is a weekly competition) to be named as the game 1 starter. I’m also not making a leap of faith stating that the 2 transfer QBs didn’t work out as one is no longer on the roster while the other hasn’t played a single snap in our first 4 game despite being ‘cleared to play’ (which is the only info. that Kirby has released). Finally, I understand that all coaches engage in ‘coach speak,’ but Kirby has allowed a lot of these rumors to remain simply as a result of his coy approach to discussing the QB competition. For example, last week he said that they’d use the bye week to get all the QBs a lot more reps and then this week, he said that SB got most of the reps with the 1s. So even the small amount of info that he is willing to divulge appears contradictory in nature to me. Anyway, I’m done talking about it as I don’t see any value in discussing it further.

Man… 🙁 we need to get edwards to visit but apparently that seems impossible to do… just get the freaking kid on campus. I’d rather we not take Daniels
And exactly how are we supposed to get him on campus when we can’t arrange his trip, pay for his trip, have him meet coaches in person or visit the athletic facilities, etc.
I really wonder if Daniels might not be a good change of pace RB given that he’s not built like all the other RBs currently on our roster who some have said aren’t ‘home run’ backs. He’s built and plays more like the RB from LSU last year and that might be exactly the type of back we need in Monken’s offense.
It’s Great to be a Georgia Bulldog!!!!
