In the Bulldogs 1995 season-opening win over South Carolina, Bulldogs tailback Robert Edwards ran for a school-record five touchdowns, all coming in the second half.

Georgia bounced back from its lone regular-season loss from 1980-1982, a 13-3 setback at national champion Clemson, with a 24-0 shutout of South Carolina between the hedges.

In the Bulldogs nail-biting 13-6 win over South Carolina at Sanford Stadium in 1987, Georgia had a pair of critical fourth-quarter interceptions from Bill Goldberg and Will Jones.

 

 

 

 

Legendary New York Yankees second baseman Bobby Richardson coached the South Carolina baseball team to the finals of the 1975 College World Series.

South Carolina’s Aja Wilson is the only player to be named SEC Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Year honors three times, earning the honor from 2016-2018.

The Gamecocks advanced to the 2017 Men’s Basketball Final Four, defeating Marquette, Duke, Baylor, and Florida before falling to Gonzaga in the national semifinal.
