Alabama’s Defensive Backs Coach Mel Tucker is set to be announced as Georgia’s new Defensive Coordinator per reports.

 
New head football Coach Kirby Smart has been putting together his staff since he was hired by Georgia back in early December, and Mel Tucker appears to be the latest addition to the Bulldogs staff. In addition to Mel Tucker, Georgia’s defensive staff will include Defensive Line Coach Tracy Rocker, Linebackers Coach Kevin Sherrer, and Defensive Assistant Glen Schumann.

Tucker would join the rest of Georgia’s staff in Athens after Alabama’s College Football National Championship Game with Clemson.

The 43 year old coach from Cleveland, Ohio has only been at Alabama for 1 year but has over 18 years of coaching experience.
