Elijah Holyfield commented that one of his favorite contests is the Georgia vs. Florida game.

“Jacksonville is one of my favorite games that I’ve been to,” Holyfield said. “The stadium is really cool. The drive over there and the whole atmosphere has us excited to play a good ball team.”

Last year, he rushed four times for 49 yards and one score. That score was a 39-yard touchdown run sealed the deal and got the Bulldogs the 42-7 win. He didn’t see much action with Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, and D’Andre Swift getting a majority of the carries.

However, despite being one of the guys that came in after the workhorses last year, he turned himself into a workhorse. Holyfield is Georgia’s leading rusher this season with 65 carries for 488 yards and four touchdowns. He averages 7.5 yards a carry.

The Bulldogs rush game is their bread and butter, and they must be able to do so if they want to make teams quit. After a long bye week, Holyfield claims that the bye week helped them work on things they needed to.

“We just hope to play better, execute better on some of the stuff we worked on this past bye week and bring some of the stuff we do in practice to the game,” Holyfield stated.

Georgia gets its chance to prove that the LSU game was just a slip up as the Bulldogs take on Flordia this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ESPN’s College GameDay and SEC Network’s SEC Nation will both be in Jacksonville for the top-ten matchup.
