The No. 1 Georgia equestrian team will face No. 3 South Carolina for the 2015 NCEA National Championship Saturday afternoon at the Extraco Event Center in Waco, Texas. The Bulldogs defeated No. 5 Auburn 10-6 in the semifinal round of competition to advance. Georgia looks on to win the program’s seventh national championship. The championship is scheduled for a 2 pm CT start.

The Bulldogs and the Tigers scored two points apiece in Reining. Auburn’s Alexa Rivard picked up the first point. Kydall Harper took a point for Georgia with a 139-137 point victory over Allie Dusha. Lauren Garmon took a second point for the Bulldogs, defeating Hailey Munger 127-119.5. Katsy Leeman earned a point for the Tigers to even the score 2-2. At the half, Auburn led Georgia 5-3
[su_spacer size=”40″]Georgia used a 3-1 victory in Equitation Over Fences to even the overall score. O’Mara used a 179 to defeat Ashley Foster’s score of 175. Kylee Arbuckle earned a point with a 175-143 decision over Peyton Smith. Finsness took the third-straight point for the Bulldogs, defeating Stiegler 156-151. Entering the final event of the competition, the two teams were tied with six points each.
[su_spacer size=”40″]A perfect 4-0 sweep by the Horsemanship sealed the win for the Bulldogs. Bailey Anderson used a 146.5 to defeat Hannah Losekek’s score of 143.5. Rachel Kolb continued the momentum with a 147-138.5 victory over Griffin Knight. Sara Parr earned the highest score of the event and defeated Katsy Leeman 150.5-142. In the anchor position for Georgia, Paige Stawicki used a score of 146.5 to earn her point.
