In the 2001 SEC Women’s Tournament Championship Game in Memphis, All-American Kelly Miller hit a BUZZER-BEATING THREE Dogs the trophy.
 
Two of the Dogs’ four highest single-game rushing performances came against Vandy: HERSCHEL WALKER’S record 283 IN 1980 and GARRISON HEARST’S 246 IN 1992.
 
From 2005-2007, Georgia won TWO OF THE THREE matchups with the ‘Dores, when they sent current Red Sox hurler and ’07 top overall pick David Price to the mound.

Vandy All-SEC great BILL WADE was the top pick in the 1952 NFL Draft, and in 1963 was the quarterback for the Chicago Bears NFL Championship Team.
 
After losing 28 of the previous 29 meetings in the series to Tennessee, the Commodores have now beaten the Vols in THREE of the LAST FIVE years.
