The Georgia Bulldogs have their first top 25 match of the season as they travel up to South Bend to face the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and these are the five players that I believe the Bulldogs need to watch out for in the game on Saturday.

 
5. LB Nyles Morgan
 
Morgan started on the Fighting Irish defense in all 12 games last season and led the team in tackles last season with 94. Morgan could be viewed as the leader of the team’s defense as he was named a team captain for this season. He continued to lead his team in tackles as he opened up the season with eight in the team’s victory over Temple. Morgan seems to have a knack for finding the ball and he should fly around the field in the Bulldogs next game.
 
 
4. WR Equanimeous St. Brown
 
St. Brown is the Fighting Irish’s go-to wide receiver and should be relied upon heavily if they end up having to try to move the ball through the air. At six foot five inches he is a nightmare matchup for most cornerbacks because of his great size and his ability to go up and get the ball.
 
 
St. Brown was most impressive during his sophomore campaign as he had the third greatest season for a Notre Dame sophomore wide receiver in the areas of catches, in which he had 58, receiving yards, in which he had 961, and touchdowns, in which he had 9. He will be looking to build on his stellar sophomore season and is already off to a great start as he had four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Fighting Irish’s season-opening win over Temple by a score of 49-16.
 
 
3. OT Mike McGlinchey
 
McGlinchey is an absolute mountain of a man at six foot eight inches and his great size gives the Fighting Irish an advantage in the trenches. McGlinchey has started on the offensive line for the Fighting Irish in the past two seasons as he started at right tackle during his junior season and left tackle during his senior season.
 
 
As a fifth year player, McGlinchey is going into his second season as a team captain and is truly a leader on the team’s offensive line. The Fighting Irish love to run the ball as they totaled 422 rushing yards in their first game of the season while also earning five touchdowns on the ground. McGlinchey is definitely a tough man to move and Bulldogs Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy’s ability to get around him could play a large role in the defense’s success.
 
 
2. RB Josh Adams
 
The Fighting Irish have a one-two punch in their backfield that is led by Josh Adams. Adams holds numerous records during his short time at Notre Dame including the freshman record for rushing yards with 835 and he is the only player in Notre Dame history to have more than 800 rushing yards in his first two seasons with the team.
 
 
Now a junior, Adams has established himself as a team captain and an overall very effective running back. He started off the season with a bang as he earned 161 yards on the ground while also scoring two of the team’s five rushing touchdowns. The Bulldogs ability to slow down Adams will have a big say in who comes out of South Bend with the win.
 
 
1. QB Brandon Wimbush
 
Wimbush is in his first year as the Fighting Irish’s starting quarterback, but his pure athleticism gives him a great advantage over many other quarterbacks in the same position. Wimbush opened up his season by rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown while also passing for 184 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
 
 
The Bulldogs will try to put the game on Wimbush’s arm and it will be interesting to see how he performs under these circumstances. However, Wimbush’s athletic ability will give him the opportunity to scramble and make plays happen. If Kirby Smart’s defense cannot contain Wimbush, then he has the ability to break the game wide open for his team.
