The University of Georgia football team has added another transfer. On Friday, January 10, quarterback Jamie Newman officially transferred from Wake Forest and enrolled at UGA. On Monday, tight end Tre McKitty announced his decision to transfer to Georgia and will be moving from Tallahassee to Athens after he graduates from Florida State.

McKitty made his decision public that he was intending to transfer last week on Thursday, January 9 via social media on his Twitter account.
The Bulldogs are looking to replace the production from senior Charlie Woerner and graduate transfer Eli Wolf at tight end from the 2019 squad. The 6-foot-5 and 245 lbs McKitty is a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility left. He will be competing for playing time with three returning scholarship tight ends that includes 6-foot-6 and 230 lbs rising sophomore John FitzPatrick, 6-foot-6 and 240 lbs redshirt freshman Ryland Goede, and 6-foot-5 and 228 lbs redshirt freshman Brett Seither in addition to incoming freshman Darnell Washington, a 6-foot-8 and 261 lbs five-star phenom and 2020 signee out of Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tre McKitty signed with Florida State out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL as part of the Seminoles 2017 recruiting class. While at FSU, McKitty has hauled 50 passes for 520 yards and two touchdowns in 20 games over the past three seasons. You can watch Tre’s college highlights by clicking on the video below.
