Former Georgia football Head Coach Mark Richt suffered a heart attack early on Monday but posted on his Twitter account that he is doing fine.
I am assuming word travels fast. So I wanted to be able to inform everyone that I did have a heart attack this morning. I am doing fine. As I went through the experience I had peace knowing I was going to heaven but I was going to miss my wife. I plan to be at work this week.

The former coach was quick with the humor given his situation, though.

Mark Richt coached the University of Georgia football team for 15 years from 2001-2015, winning two SEC Championships, and is currently the second-winningest coach in the program’s history with 145-51 record only behind Vince Dooley. After Georgia, Richt went on to take the head coaching duties at his former Alma mater, the University of Miami, from 2016-2018.
Bulldawg Illustrated would like to wish the former head coach and speedy recovery and our thoughts are with him and his family.
