[su_spacer size=”40″] After a much needed bye week, everyone here at Bulldawg Illustrated jumped back on his or her saddle to produce this week’s solid Georgia-Florida issue. I won’t lie, while the break is nice, it’s not easy to get back into the football season grind. I point this out because I know the same challenge must occur for our beloved foot-ball team. However for the team, the stakes are much higher if they are to achieve one of their main season goals of making it to Atlanta to play for the SEC Championship.
[su_spacer size=”40″] For this reason, we couldn’t pass up the rare opportunity to mesh the Georgia-Florida game and Halloween on this issue’s cover. And as the cover states, by Saturday night (October 31) we will know whether the 2015 season is all about trick or treat.

To achieve the latter, our Dawgs, unlike last season in Jacksonville, better show up to play from the opening whistle. Without question, the Gators are playing well in all phases and would love nothing more than to end Georgia’s hopes and basically firm up their SEC Championship trip to Atlanta.
[su_spacer size=”40″] The month of October certainly has been eye opening for everyone in the Bulldog Nation. Surely by now, we can all agree that our offense has some severe limitations. And on the other side of the ball, after struggling mightily in Knoxville, our defense bowed its neck to limit Missouri to just two field goals. Yes, the game was more than ugly, but with the season on the line, our Georgia Bulldogs finished as the 9-6 victor.
[su_spacer size=”40″] So, now our team and our coach, arrive at the final game of October. How will they perform is the million dollar question. I hope Coach Richt attacks this year’s Georgia-Florida with all he can muster. And to me, that means not settling for field goals, at all costs. I won’t bore you with years and years of misfortunes due to footballs not going through the goalposts on the banks of the St. Johns River. For whatever reason, our team doesn’t kick well in Jacksonville, so please Coach Richt for the love of the Georgia people keep your offense on the field and make going for it on 4th down a priority.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Speaking of our fans, of course Georgia-Florida, as always, is about so much more than the football game. Once again, my hometown of the Golden Isles gets to play host to so many of you. I think I can speak for everyone here by saying the welcome signs are certainly out.
[su_spacer size=”40″] For the UGA students, this year’s Frat Beach is going to see some changes. However, I have the utmost confidence that Glynn County officials are still going to let plenty of fun occur beachside on the Friday before the game. However, I’m hoping the students are going to do their part, which means taking care of one another, picking up your trash and knowing when it’s time for some food and water (preferably a lot).

To me, there’s not a better victory against any of our rivals than seeing Florida slither back to Gainesville. I have faith that our team is ready to make a statement heading into the final month of the regular season. Make us proud, fellas!
