GEORGIA vs. KENTUCKY MATCHUP
The 2018 SEC East Champion will get crowned after this game. Georgia aims to go undefeated in a season against the SEC East for the second straight year. The 2017 Bulldogs became the first UGA team to go 6-0 versus the East since the league split into divisions in 1992. Georgia faces a Kentucky team ranked #11 and one that is enjoying its finest start to a season at 7-1 since 1976 when that squad went 10-1. Kentucky leads the country in Scoring Defense allowing only 13.0 points per game. The Wildcats have held opponents to 20 points or less.
Georgia is averaging the second-most points in the SEC this year scoring around 38.6 points and is also second in SEC games scoring 35.8 points. Last year, Georgia clinched the SEC East in the first Saturday of November after it beat South Carolina and the Wildcats lost to Ole Miss. Georgia leads the overall series against Kentucky 57-12-2, including eight straight wins over the Wildcats.
Interesting Tidbits about the 2018 Georgia team

Fromm is ranked No.5 in the nation in Passing Efficiency at 174.0.
— All three of Fromm’s touchdowns against the Gators came on third downs covering 12, 16 and 24 yards. Last week also marked the fourth game where he threw for three touchdown passes.

Blankenship is second the nation with 53 touchbacks on 59 kickoffs. He has 141 career touchbacks and is on pace to beat Kevin Buttler’s 169 touchbacks. Blankenship has made 125 consecutive PATs and officially is at the top of Georgia’s rankings in most consecutively made PATs. Last season he broke Kevin Butler’s single-season touchback record with 67 touchbacks, shattering Butler’s 51. He already has 53 this season and seems like he will match or surpass his number from last season.
