Georgia is one of four Southeastern Conference schools that make up the top five seeds in the NCEA Championship. South Carolina will be the No. 3 seed, Texas A&M is seeded fourth and Auburn will enter the weekend as the No. 5 seed.
As the No. 1 seed, the Bulldogs will receive an opening round bye. Georgia will begin its national title defense on Friday, April 17 against either No. 8 SMU or No. 9 Kansas State.
