“We’re excited to host Oklahoma State,” head coach Meghan Boenig said. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen them and they are great competitors. We cannot underestimate their strength and their value.
The last meeting between Georgia and Oklahoma State was in the semifinal round of the 2014 NCEA National Championships. Georgia defeated Oklahoma State 8-6 and went on to win the National Championship.
Friday’s meet marks the third time Georgia will face Oklahoma in the regular season throughout program history. Georgia leads the series 2-1.
Fans in attendance at Friday’s meet will have the opportunity to compete in a Burlap Sack Race during intermission for a prize. There will also be a kid’s zone and a 90/75 drawing. Fans can sign up for the drawing at the promotions table and a prize-winner will be selected after the first UGA rider scores a 90 (Hunt Seat) or a 75 (Western).
