The annual University of Georgia Fans’ Picture Day will be held Saturday, August 15, in the Reed Plaza area of Sanford Stadium and will feature coach Mark Richt, football players, cheerleaders, other UGA athletic teams, as well as “Que,” grandson of mascot UGA IX and a candidate to become UGA X.[su_spacer size=”40″]
Special ticket coupons are required for access to the location for Coach Richt and “Que.” Those tickets will be distributed to the first 150 fans at 10:00 a.m. from the East End ticket windows on East Campus Road.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Gates will open at 2 p.m. and the Georgia cheerleaders, Dance Dawgs and Hairy Dawg will be available from 2-6 p.m. Que and other University of Georgia sports teams will be available from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Ticket holders to see Que must be in line by 2:30 p.m. Georgia football players will be on hand for autographs from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Head Coach Mark Richt will also be available from 4-6 p.m. for those with ticket coupons. Ticket holders to see Coach Richt must be in line by 4:30 p.m.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Other UGA teams scheduled to attend include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, equestrian, women’s golf, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, men’s tennis, track & field, cross country and volleyball.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Fans will be able to enter Reed Plaza through Gate 2 in the northwest corner of the stadium across from the Tate Student Center, as well as Gate 4 through the East Campus Road entry into Reed Plaza. Both gates open at 2:00 p.m.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Parking is available to the general public in any campus lots along East Campus Road, in addition to the Psychology-Journalism, Clarke Howell, Legion Field and Tate Center lots. Handicapped parking will be available in the Tate Center lots.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Concessions will be available in several areas of Reed Plaza. Fans can purchase UGA merchandise at the UGA Bookstore, located in the Tate Center and open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., or inside Sanford Stadium at Reed Plaza.
[su_spacer size=”40″] No outside items may be brought to Picture Day. The Georgia Athletic Association will provide each fan with two free schedule posters to be signed by the players and Coach Richt. Fans are limited to two items per person and fans will only be allowed to have the 2015 Football Schedule poster signed. No other items will be permitted.
