Georgia worked through its second scrimmage of fall camp Saturday afternoon. The team practiced in Sanford Stadium in front of a numerous amount of boosters. Saturday marked day 14 of Georgia’s fall camp and I break down what I saw during the media’s seven-minute viewing period of scrimmage two.
Defense
Secondary:
One of the first things I noticed was that Eric Stokes was with the two’s today. Deangelo Gibbs ran with the ones today in some of the drills. I’m not sure if this is just an experiment or what but that is what i noted.
As the media was walking out of the viewing period I noticed JR Reed snag one away from a wideout for the pick. Not sure who the QB was but i saw the pick as he caught it. Like i said we were being ushered out as our viewing period was over.
Linebackers:

Offense:
Quarterbacks:
Coach James Coley had the quarterbacks run some fundamentals drills with footwork and movement in the pocket again. Both of them made good throws and didn’t have anybody drop a pass. Georgia’s got to be one of the luckiest teams in the country to have two quarterbacks this good on one roster.
Running Backs:

Swift well he’s Swift and looks stronger than ever. That hamstring that bothered him in the spring doesn’t seem to be affecting him anymore and he looks strong so strong.
Wide Receivers:

The entire group seemed to have glue in their gloves because I didn’t see one guy drop a pass. Ahkil Crumpton excites me and is another that show flashes of greatness.
Offensive Line:
Coach Sam Pittman’s keeping this group separated. He keeps pushing fundamentals and more fundamentals. They stayed in guard and tackle groups working on various blocking drills.
Pittman yelled at Justin Shaffer, “Do what I ask of you the first time.” He told Shaffer this after the young lineman messed up during a blocking drill.
Then one of the assistant coaches told Shaffer, “You look consistently better at not looking like you’re dropping.” So Shaffer was getting quite a bit of attention and work on things.
Injury Update

Luke Ford was back at practice. After his minor motorcycle injury on Thursday, it wasn’t known how long he’d be absent from camp.
Jackson Harris was absent again with an apparent foot injury. While waiting on Kirby Smarts press conference, I saw him ride by the door on a scooter with an air cast.
Terry Godwin was back and practicing.
Kearis Jackson and Nate McBride returned to practice
Robert Beal is still not at practice. Smart said he had an undisclosed injury.
