Day Ten Spring Practice Report – Offense

Today marked day ten of spring practice. We were out there for close to ten minutes. Here are some takeaways from the offensive side of the ball.

Quarterbacks:

The first thing that we were able to see today was the offense and defense working together simultaneously. Lots of energy as Kirby and Chaney were getting animated. While running a read option drill where the defenders read the ball carrier the Quarterback rotation went like this: Fromm, Fields, Hardman. Mecole was getting reps again at Quarterback and was able to work with Swift, Herrien, and Holyfield. Zeus was also getting reps and is starting to look much more comfortable each day of practice.

Mecole Hardman (4) and David Marshall (51)

Offensive Line:

Ben Cleveland was dressed out today but was not participating in drills as his right knee was wrapped up. A big note is that Netori Johnson was getting reps with the first unit in place of Cleveland at the guard position. During drills, the guards were working on pulling and tackles were working on shedding blockers picking up the man in the next level.

Wide Receivers:

Not much to see today, besides what I mentioned in the quick notes. Seems to be a lot of vocal leadership going on as they are yelling at each other to catch the ball and run crisp clean routes. Terry Godwin seems to be filling that leadership role group and is taking ownership for this position group

Also, It was Law Enforcement appreciation today at Georgia’s practice.
