Georgia Football had their first practice of the bye week on Tuesday, and they were practicing in shells. The heat index was about 94 degrees, but Kirby Smart and his coaching staff had them running at full speed.

Here are some notes from practice:
Defense:
- I didn’t see CB Eric Stokes (27), CB Tyson Campbell (3) or DL David Marshall (51) out there at practice today.
- Stokes suffered a lower-leg injury during the first quarter of the Notre Dame game and it is believed to be a knee injury; although, he was able to come back in late in that game during the fourth quarter.
- Campbell is out with a foot injury he suffered during the Arkansas State game back on September 14th.
- Head coach Kirby Smart was getting onto to Jordan Davis (99) about conditioning outside of practice.
- Defensive line coach Tray Scott had all of his players doing up-downs. He was not satisfied with the effort that his group was giving so he punished them accordingly.
- Defensive coordinator Dan Lanning was working with both the inside and outside linebackers.
- Lanning continued to yell, “It’s improvement week.”
- He had the linebackers crawling across on all fours, rollover, and then get up and sprint to knock the ball out of his hand.
- Azeez Ojulari (13) looked really impressive with his speed on all fours.
Offense:
- Right guard Solomon Kindley suffered what appeared to be an ankle injury during the second quarter of the Notre Dame game and did not return. He was absent from today’s practice.
- With Solomon Kindley (66) out, Justin Shaffer (54) was taking first-team reps at left guard.
- Isaiah Wilson (79) and Cade Mays (77) were splitting reps at right guard.
- The quarterbacks were working separately taking snaps and throwing to one receiver who stood in place.
- Fromm looked solid hitting the target, and Stetson Bennett IV (13) missed time but hit the receiver in the hands the next time.
- Tight ends coach Todd Hartley had Kolby Wyatt (84) wearing the No. 4 simulating Tennessee tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson.
- Hartley also had Wyatt doing up-downs as he dropped a pass during position drills.
- The running backs were off by themselves, and it looked like the order was Swift, Herrien, Cook, and White.
