Day four for Georgia proved productive as various units saw progress . Position groups haven’t changed their rotations much since Saturday, but here are some things noticed on Tuesday.
 
 

Quarterbacks hard at work:

 
 
The top two quarterbacks continued to get what seemed like equal amounts during the viewing period. Jacob Eason was on point today. He was accurate with his throws, and his motion looked smooth. Eason placed the ball for his receivers well and showed he has grown since last season. One of the passes to Terry Godwin was placed almost perfectly, and all of his receivers caught their attempts except for one or two. Jake Fromm seemed to have struggled a bit. The accuracy of Fromm’s passes just didn’t match up to Eason’s. Fromm showed his freshman side today, but as talented and competitive as he is, I don’t see the “off days” lasting. Overall the two looked solid, and it will be interesting the closer to the season how tight the quarterback competition will get.
 
 

Offensive line:

 
 
Sam Pittman’s offensive line is a work in progress. Without three starters from last year, Pittman is plugging in players to see who steps up for 2017. The rotation I saw today goes as follows: Isaiah Wynn at left tackle, Pat Allen at left guard, Lamont Gillard at center, Solomon Kindley at right guard and Dyshon Sims at right tackle. Early Enrollee D’Marcus Hayes got some action in there as well and looks to be with the second team.
 
 
When summer comes around Georgia’s offensive line may look a little different with Isaiah Wilson, to name one, arrives.
 
 

Defensive state of mind:

 
 
The defense looked strong today. The defensive line was running a drill through PVC pipe fixture and tackling a dummy at the end of the device. Players that just stood out during this training are Jonathan Ledbetter, Julian Rochester, and John Atkins. Aggressiveness seems to be d-line coach Tray Scott’s most favored trait.
 
 
The linebackers and secondary were working hard developing some fundamentals for tackling and footwork. Young guys, DeAngelo Gibbs and Richard Lecounte, got some good reps in during the media period. Monty Rice also saw some action with the linebackers.
 
 

Black Jerseys on Day four:

 
 
Black jerseys covered the field today, but none looked too serious. Isaac Nauta, Jeb Blazevich, David Marshall, Monty Rice, Tae Crowder, Javon Wims, and Keyon Brown all wore black. However, all of the black jersey wearing players practiced with the team. Georgia has quite a few banged up as Coach Smart mentioned in his post-practice interview.
