Describe Athens in three words: Between the Hedges
Fave bars and restaurant in Athens: Last Resort, Five and Ten,The Grit, High Wire,The Foundry
Fave shops in Athens: I love browsing the downtown and Five Points boutiques and vintage stores, a lot of which have changed since I was on campus. Heery’s is a long-time favorite and I love Cheeky Peach and Cloister Collection-Athens. It is still fun to poke through Junkman’s Daughter and see what vintage or off-the-wall things you can find.
Fave Athens landmark: Georgia Theater, Sanford Stadium, The Arch
Describe your typical Bulldog game day: We will usually get to Athens as early as possible before the game and eat and have a few drinks at a local restaurant like Last Resort or Walkers before meeting up with friends at various tailgate parties across campus.
We usually end up at a tailgate off Lumpkin a few hours before the game so that we can catch the Dog Walk – which I have loved since I was a kid tailgating with my parents every home game. If we are fortunate enough to stay overnight in Athens, it is always fun to hit up some of the restaurants and bars downtown!

Who inspires you? My mother. She is the most creative, talented, industrious, and generous woman. She fostered my creativity and taught me the values of hard work, entrepreneurship and family above all else.

SHARE A TAILGATE RECIPE:
Ham Stuffed Biscuits with Mustard Butter
Biscuit Ingredients
1 (1/4 oz) envelope dry yeast
½ cup warm water
2 cups buttermilk
5 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ Tbs baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
1/4 cup sugar
¾ cup shortening
2 lbs. thinly sliced cooked ham
Mustard Butter Ingredients
1 cup softened butter
2 Tbs minced sweet onion
2 Tbs spicy brown mustard
Preparation
Combine yeast and warm water in a 4-cup measuring cup; let stand 5 minutes, and then stir in buttermilk.
Combine flour and next four ingredients in large bowl.
Cut in shortening with pastry blender or fork until it resembles course meal.
Add buttermilk mixture, stirring with fork until dry ingredients are moistened.
Turn dough out onto well-floured surface and knead 4-5 minutes.
Roll dough into ½ inch thickness.
Cut with 2 inch round cutter and lace on lightly greased baking pan.
Cover and let rise in a warm place (85 degrees) for 1 hour.
Bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
Stir mustard ingredients together until well-blended.
Split each biscuit, and spread evenly with Mustard Butter and stuff with ham.
