The Georgia football team will hold an open practice at Sanford Stadium when the Bulldogs kick off their 2016 season at the Fan Day celebration on Saturday, August 6.
Georgia’s open practice will be from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Head coach Kirby Smart and players will then be available for autographs immediately after the practice on the field at approximately 4:45 p.m. Admission is free.
Fans will also have an opportunity to take photos with Uga X from 2-4 p.m. Special ticket coupons are required for access to the location for Uga X and those tickets will be distributed to the first 150 fans at 11:00 a.m. from the East End ticket windows on East Campus Road. Ticket holders to see Uga X must be in line by 2:30 p.m. Only those with a ticket are guaranteed a photo and no stand-by tickets will be issued.
Fans may enter the stadium through Gates 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and Main beginning at 1:30 p.m. and occupy the lower bowl. The open practice, which is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. will last approximately two hours. At the conclusion of practice, fans wishing to participate in Fan Day will enter the field through the West End Zone field gates. Fans can start lining up at 4 p.m. Following practice, the Georgia football team and Coach Smart will be available for autographs for 45 minutes. The west end zone gates to the field will open once the autograph session has been set up. In an effort to facilitate as many autographs in the time allowed, fans are limited to two items per person and fans will only be allowed to have the 2016 Football Schedule poster signed. The posters will be available as fans enter the field for the autograph session. No other items will be permitted for autographs and no posed photographs with players or Coach Smart will be allowed.
Parking is available in any lots along East Campus Road, Psychology-Journalism, Clarke Howell, Legion Field, Tate Center parking deck, Hull Street parking deck and North Campus parking deck. Handicapped parking will be available in the Tate Center surface lot.
Concessions will be available in all permanent stands under the bridge, 100, 200 and 300 levels. The 600 level will offer concession vendors in the stands with Coca-Cola products and selected snacks. Fans can purchase UGA merchandise at the UGA Bookstore, located in the Tate Center and open from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., or inside Sanford Stadium at Reed Plaza.
