Georgia hosted Texas Tech transfer defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko on Thursday for their 11th practice of spring football. So are the Dogs in the running for the former Red Raiders’ services?

Fehoko has also made official visits to two other SEC programs, Auburn and LSU, and he has also visited ACC program Louisville in the last several weeks. But Georgia was his final visit before he plans to announce his decision on Monday, April 17th; so, the Bulldogs won’t have long to wait to know if they made a good impression on the 6 foot 3 and 290 lbs defensive lineman.

The Honolulu, HI native attended Farrington High School where he was rated a four-star defensive tackle prospect and considered one of the top-10 defensive linemen in the 2015 recruiting class. He committed to Texas Tech on April 14th, 2014 and enrolled early at the University in January 2015. While he was in Lubbock, Fehoko started 25 games in two seasons for the Red Raiders where he tallied 38 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, and two sacks. He also recorded an interception as a freshman.

Whichever school Breiden Fehoko chooses – his top five are Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, LSU, and Ole Miss – he would have to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules and would have 2 years of eligibility left to play. One plus here for the Bulldogs is new defensive line coach Tray Scott who came from Ole Miss and was recruiting Fehoko during his short stint with the Rebels, but Fehoko really enjoyed his official to LSU as well as Auburn. If I had to make a prediction, I’d say Georgia is in the running, especially considering the Dogs got the last official with Fehoko, but I think LSU is the team to beat here.

If you have never seen Fehoko play, here are some recent highlights of the big man in action on the gridiron.
