The Bulldawg Illustrated Staff give their predictions on Georgia-Kentucky and if the Bulldogs will be able to right the ship against the Wildcats.
 
 

Corbindawg: 23-17 Georgia
 
Georgia has been stymied by teams with good defenses. Kentucky doesn’t have a great defense. But they aren’t terrible.
 
 
Greg Poole: 24-20 Georgia
 
Is this the game that everything finally comes together for Georgia? I don’t know, but I hope so. The Bulldogs last lost to Kentucky in 2009 in Athens 34-27, and they last lost on the road to the Wildcats, 24-20, in 2006. I think the Dawgs get the running game going and play good enough on defense to get the victory, but it will still be a close game a la 2006. This time, though, Georgia comes out on top 24-20.
 
 
ImYourHuckleberry: 31-20 Georgia
 
The UGA defense is rounding into form and will stuff the Wildcats run game between the tackles and get consistent pressure on Stephen Johnson. The defense will force a couple turnovers and Isaiah McKenzie will return a punt for a TD. The offensive gameplan will be to get Chubb and Michel the ball in space and let them do their thing. The offense executes better this week and the field position assist from the defense and i-Mac will be enough for the Dawgs get the job done.
 
 
Murray Poole: 28-21 Georgia
 
Because of the Gators’ nationally-ranked defense, I didn’t feel good about Georgia’s chances of winning last week and wasn’t too far off with my 21-14 Florida pick, though the Gators did win by two TDs. Conversely, because Kentucky’s run defense has struggled this season, I do feel good about the Bulldogs getting something going with Chubb and Michel Saturday night. So I will say Georgia 28, the Cats 21 in a good one.
 
 
Bob Miller: 28-21 Georgia
 
I think Georgia matches up well with Kentucky. I like the Bulldog’s run defense against the Wildcats running game. Then on the other side of the ball, I know that Georgia’s offense has struggled, but Kentucky’s run defense is not great; not even good. I am nervous when it comes to Kentucky’s pass rush coming off the edge; so, the key once again, if the Dawgs want to win, is run the ball and stop the run. In the end, Georgia comes out of Lexington with a 28-21 win.
 
 
Savannah Richardson: 24-17 Georgia
 
I think UGA will end their drought and have a pretty impressive game. They get the running game going finally and win the kicking battle. The defense will shut down the Wildcat running game completely one sided allowing Georgia to force some turnovers and make some magic happen.
 
 
Michael Pope: 24-14 Georgia
 
This game is so crucial for this Bulldogs team that I can not imagine them coming out flat on offense again. I believe the running game will finally get going with Nick Chubb and Sony Michel leading the way. I also expect the defense to continue playing the same level of ball that they have played in the past few weeks, which will help keep the Kentucky offense in check. The Bulldogs should be able to come out of Lexington with a W if this holds true.

Vance Leavy: 28-24 Georgia
 
 
The Bulldawg Illustrated staff all in all seems very confident in the Bulldogs to grind out a win against the Wildcats this weekend. Not one member of the staff is really predicting a blowout, but every member has predicted a win for this Georgia team. It will be interesting to see if any of these predictions hold true on Saturday.
