The Bulldogs picked up another top running back for the class of 2017 when St. Joseph High School’s D’Andre Swift announced his commitment to the University of Georgia.
The 5 foot 10 and 214 lbs RB out of Philadelphia, PA is Georgia’s second for the 2017 class, joining Langham Creek High School’s Toneil Carter, who committed to the Dawgs back in July. Rated as a top 5 prospect at running back by 247, Rivals and Scout recruiting services, Swift is a ball fury on the field.
Swift along with Carter would give Georgia another talented influx to continue on the rich tradition at running back with the program. Georgia’s current roster for 2016 at running back includes two junior rushers who have both put up 1,000 yard plus seasons in Nick Chubb and Sony Michel as well as veteran, senior tailback Brendon Douglas, redshirt freshman Tae Crowder and new freshmen Elijah Holyfield and Brian Herrien.
D’Andre Swift’s announcement gives Georgia 15 verbal commitments for 2017, which is shaping up to not only be one of the top recruiting classes in the SEC but in the nation.
