The No. 8/8 Georgia softball team continues its road swing with seven games this weekend, followed by two on Monday. The Bulldogs will take on Towson, Indiana, James Madison, Penn State, Fordham Nebraska-Omaha and Saint Francis in the Citrus Classic in Orlando, Fla., before traveling to Savannah, Ga., for a double header against Savannah State on Monday. Georgia enters the weekend with an overall record of 12-2.

For the second-straight week, Georgia has remained a member of the top-10 in both major polls. The Bulldogs check in at No. 8 in both the NFCA and USA Softball polls. Georgia stayed in the No. 8 in the NFCA poll and dropped on spot from No. 8 in the USA Softball poll.

The trip to Orlando is a homecoming for senior Niaja Griffin. Griffin hails from Orlando and attended Wekiva High School. It is the second time in as many seasons that Griffin has played in her hometown.

Georgia continues its 13-game road trip this weekend in Orlando. Following the conclusion of the weekend, the Bulldogs will play a doubleheader against Savannah State in Savannah, Ga. Going back to last week and looking forward to next weekend, the Bulldogs will have played 15 of 17 games away from Jack Turner Stadium.

Cortni Emanuel has been a burst of speed for the Bulldog lineup. Emanuel has 21 bases through 14 games this season. Last season Anna Swafford led the team with 20 stolen bases for the year. The Georgia record for stolen bases in a season is 71, set twice by Nicole Barber in both 2002 and 2003. Emanuel leads the SEC with 21 stolen bases. The next highest total is 14.
