It looks like Georgia is still playing the waiting game when it comes to the status of two of the Bulldogs’ twenty-five 2017 signees, Robert Beal and Devonte Wyatt.

 
Kirby Smart addressed the situation with R. Beal and D. Wyatt in his Monday Noon-time press conference before the Dogs’ first practice of fall camp. His updates on Beal and Wyatt along with several other players comes at approximately the 4:52 mark in the video of the presser.
 
 
“I don’t have any updates on Robert Beal or Devonte Wyatt,” said Smart. “That’s still an ongoing process, and a lot of places across the country are experiencing the same thing, waiting on guys to qualify and get eligible.”
 
 
Beal is a 6 foot 4 and 244 lbs outside linebacker, weakside defensive end signee out of Peachtree Ridge High School, but he actually played his senior football season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He transferred to IMG from Norcross High School after his junior season in 2015. After the 2016 football season was in the books, he transferred back to the Peach State to finish up his final semester at Peachtree Ridge.
 
 
And Wyatt is a 6 foot 3 and 301 lbs defensive tackle signee out of Towers High School from Decatur, GA.
 
 
Both players still have yet to be cleared by the NCAA Eligibility Center to enroll at UGA. Which begs the question, have Beal and Wyatt already missed their window of opportunity to enroll at Georgia for fall semester?
 
 
Not quite yet but that window is shrinking fast. Classes for the fall semester at UGA begin on August 14th and the very latest that either Beal or Wyatt could enroll would be until the end of drop/add on August 18th. By then, though, they would have missed nearly 3 weeks of fall camp.
