Georgia vs Kentucky Staff Score Predictions

Members of the Bulldawg Illustrated team made score predictions for today’s game against Kentucky. See what each member had to say.

Han Vance:

Big Blue defense plain nasty this season, and highly-ranked league teams have been rough hosts throughout the still short Kirby Smart era. Winning last week was no good without this win, in the national appetizer game to LSU-Bama on CBS. Excited to be in the I’ve-heard-lovely Bluegrass in person for the first time, I traveled to see (#6) Georgia win. If (#9) Kentucky broke through, it would bust many trend lines including that of the SEC East champion repeating after a divisional breakthrough. Georgia won two, then Mizzou won two, then Florida won two, only Georgia winning the whole league, finally, last season. Georgia won East last year, repeats.

The Florida win was sluggish but represented another step forward for this young Georgia team that’s finding its identity each week. Kirby and Company take another step forward in Lexington with big plays in all three phases of the game.

Truly, this is a historic game for the Kentucky Wildcats but for Georgia, it’s just another hurdle the Bulldogs have to conquer to earn the SEC East Division crown and a second consecutive trip to the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 1. Despite these ‘Cats leading the nation in scoring defense and Kentucky owning one of the country’s top running backs in Benny Snell, Kirby will have both the Georgia offense
and defense primed for maybe their best showing of the season. The Bulldogs burst the Wildcats’ bubble with a 24-17 win Saturday at UK’s Kroger Field!

Savannah Richardson:

It’s time for Georgia to establish its dominance and show the Kentucky Wildcats who owns the East. The Bulldogs can not only score on the ground but through the air as well and I fully expect them to do so against the Wildcats. Despite Kentucky leading the nation in Scoring Defense at 13 points, the Bulldogs double that. Georgia’s defense slows down Benny Snell and company just enough to force plenty of three-and-outs and ultimately make Kentucky quit. The Bulldogs have yet to make a team give up this season really, and this could be the game that does it. Yup, I’m going bold.

Kentucky’s offense hasn’t scored over 15 points since September. Although Kentucky’s defense is legit, they will get worn out in the second half from being on the field too long. Georgia’s balanced offensive attack carries the Dawgs to a 30-13 win.
