Jeff Dantzler:
Dawgs 45, MTSU 14. The Blue Raiders can sling it. This will be a good test. They played Georgia Southern in Statesboro while getting pelted by Hurricane Hugo in 1989. Erk’s Eagles won that one 26-0. Hopefully, the rain will hold off on Saturday afternoon.
Hamilton Culpepper:
52-10. Although the MTSU offense is one of the better so-called “cupcake” offenses, the Savage Dawgs will limit them to a field goal and touchdown. The Georgia offense will begin to truly click and spread the ball as Kirby desires. Expect big plays from Demetris Robertson and the tight ends. We have barely utilized each and what better way to experiment with them than this game.
Greg Poole:
Georgia keeps the season record spotless with a 48-17 blowout of an overmatched MTSU. Don’t be surprised if the Dawgs start slowly. Both temperatures and emotions were high in Columbia last week, it may take a quarter or two to get rolling. However, there is virtually zero chance of an upset.
Savannah Richardson:
The Bulldogs handle business and move onto Missouri. Georgia defeats the Blue Raiders 45-10 with Swift getting his first 100 yard game of the season. This Middle Tennessee State team will challenge Georgia’s secondary but will give them a great look as to what’s coming next week.
Steve Conyers:
The real question for this game is if Georgia will cover the spread. The Bulldogs are a 33 point favorite over the blue raiders which makes total sense because it was only two weeks ago Vanderbilt beat MTSU 35-7.
Georgia covers 48-10.
