The Georgia women’s basketball team hosts LSU today at Stegeman Coliseum for a 2:00 p.m. ET tipoff for a ‘Pink Out’ game.

 
 
THE OPENING TIP
 
Today marks the Lady Bulldogs’ Pink Out game, with fans encouraged to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness and the Play4Kay Foundation. The first 750 fans will receive a free Kelly and Coco Miller bobblehead, while the first 1,000 fans will be given a free pink t-shirt.
 
 
The Lady Bulldogs will also honor their three seniors — Shanea Armbrister, Pachis Roberts and Halle Washington — during a special presentation, which is scheduled to occur around 20 minutes before opening tip.
 
 
Georgia enters the game following yet another close matchup with a top-5 team. The Lady Bulldogs led third-ranked Mississippi State for over 30 minutes, but watched MSU pull away late for the 58-49 win.
 
 
The 58 points scored by Mississippi State matched the team’s season low. Georgia held fifth-ranked South Carolina to 62 points on Jan. 26 — the Gamecocks’ second-lowest scoring total this season.
 
 
Sunday’s meeting marks the 45th matchup all-time between the Lady Bulldogs and LSU. Georgia leads the series, 24-20, after the two split a pair of games last season. UGA’s win at LSU a year ago was the team’s first in Baton Rouge since 2001.

LSU enters Sunday’s contest just ahead of Georgia in the SEC standings. The Tigers are currently 7-6 in the league and stand in seventh place, while the Lady Bulldogs are 5-8 and in eighth place. Head Coach Nikki Fargas has led her team to an impressive 18-8 overall record this season, led by 15.9 points per game by Raigyne Moncrief. Statistically, LSU ranks third in the SEC in scoring defense and first in steals. The Tigers hold opponents to just 64.4 points per game and force 12.8 steals per contest.
