With the SEC Tournament just over two weeks away, the Georgia women’s basketball team are looking to get back above .500 on the road in Auburn, AL as the Lady Bulldogs take on the Lady Tigers at 3:00 p.m. ET this afternoon.

The Lady Bulldogs own a 27-18 lead in the all-time series with the Tigers. Georgia has won four of the last six meetings, including last season’s 63-30 victory in Athens. The 30 points scored by Auburn set a Georgia Lady Bulldog record for fewest points allowed by an SEC opponent in a single game in school history.

Georgia sophomore Caliya Robinson is the reigning ESPNW National Player of the Week for her efforts against Arkansas and Tennessee. Robinson is the only player in the SEC this season and just the second Lady Bulldog all time to garner national player of the week honors.

Among other notable accomplishments, Robinson now leads the SEC in blocked shots per game (2.5) and has the two highest single-game blocked shot totals in the league this season with seven against Vanderbilt and seven at Arkansas. She is also averaging 22.3 ppg and 9.0 rpg in the last three contests.

Auburn head coach Terri Williams-Flourney was an assistant at Georgia from 1996-2002 under former head coach Andy Landers. During her time in Athens, the Lady Bulldogs won two SEC regular season titles, one SEC tournament championship and advanced to the 1999 NCAA Final Four.

SCOUTING AUBURN
 
Auburn enters Sunday’s meeting with a 15-10 overall record and 5-6 mark in SEC action. Former Lady Bulldog assistant coach Terri Williams-Flournoy’s team has lost three-straight games after starting league play 5-3 with wins against Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Tennessee. Katie Frerking leads Auburn in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game, followed by Brandy Montgomery’s 13.8 ppg. The Tigers, who are strong defensively, are second in the league in turnover margin, owning a plus-8.1 edge this season and are also second in steals per game, averaging 11.8 per game as a team.
