Georgia’s D.J. Looney Headed to Mississippi State

In the second staff change for the University of Georgia football program in 24-hours, offensive graduate assistant D.J. Looney is leaving Athens and headed to Starkville and Mississippi State to be an offensive assistant for the tight ends and offensive tackles.
 

 
 

 
 
Looney was held a similar position at Georgia for the past year and at the University of Central Arkansas from 2014-2015. Before that, he served as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at East Mississippi Community College for 2013. D.J. Looney is a native of Birmingham, AL where he graduated from Oak Mountain High School and then attended Mississippi State where he was a three-year letterman on the offensive line. Now, he returns to his collegiate Alma mater as the Bulldogs’ tight ends coach.
