The awards season continues for the Georgia New Media Department as it picked up its first ever Southeast Regional Emmy on Saturday night, June 6. Georgia earned the Emmy in the Program Feature/Segment category for Super Cooper. It is the second Emmy for Georgia and the first for the New Media Department.

While recovering from his second heart surgery, 11 Georgia football players, including Todd Gurley, Hutson Mason and Malcolm Mitchell, paid a visit to him in the hospital.
[su_spacer size=”40″] Following the initial visit, Smith was able to come watch the team practice and mingle with some of the players.
