Georgia’s practice on Tuesday was a special one for me. It was my first practice as a journalist, and it was one I will never forget. The atmosphere was electric, and the team was in the zone.

This is something that I have been dreaming about all of my life. I have always been curious how practice runs and what happens during a session.

It was everything and more. Granted we only got 10 minutes to see practice, but those few minutes I absorbed the entire experience.
 
 

My Take on Practice:

There were a few things that I took away from Tuesday’s practice.

The first thing was that Jonathan Ledbetter was back and practicing at full force. He was practicing with the first team and going second in the drills.
 
 

 
 
He was fresh and ready to play. It’ll be good to have him back this week after his six-game suspension. He gives Georgia the opportunity to better utilize the pass rush, something that has been missing all season.

Another thing is that Brice Ramsey was both throwing and catching the ball with his injured hand. He should be able to handle punting duties if needed.

Ramsey was in the third rotation of the quarterbacks and was running all of their drills as well. He had no difficulty throwing the deep balls either. It seems as if he is almost healthy again and he can start contributing to the team once more.
 
 

 
 
An additional thing in practices that was intriguing was how Coach Sam Pittman was teaching his line the fundamentals. He was showing them different schemes, and it was all about the right way to block.

Pittman is growing and mentoring these players into his style of offensive line. In recent weeks, the line has been getting better.
 
 

What is Practice really like?

 
 
As a fan. I’ve always wanted to know what practice was like. I got to see that on Tuesday, and it’s something that everyone needs to witness. It’s run like a machine.

There was a tone in the air for perfection. The drills and the way they run the drills strive for perfection.

I was more excited after practice than before. Being there allowed me to check off something that I had wanted to see all of my life.

However, after my first practice, it’s safe to say I will continue to obsess over football and want to learn more about it.
