WILL HEALY (Austin Peay Head Coach)
 
In just his second season at the Austin Peay helm, Healy helped engineer one of the great turnarounds in college football history in 2017. The Governors entered the season on a 27-game losing streak but under Healy, Austin Peay won seven conference games for the first time in program history and finished alone in second place in the Ohio Valley Conference … the best finish for the Govs since the 1980 team. Austin Peay rewrote the record books last season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. After the season, Healy received the STATS FCS Eddie Robinson Award as the top coach at the FCS level as well as OVC Coach of the Year. Thus, coming off that 2017 success, one can be assured Healy will have the Governors pumped and ready to challenge the heavily-favored Bulldogs.
 
 
JEREMIAH OATSVALL (QB, #6)
 
Oatsvall, a 6-1, 200-pound sophomore, guides the Governors’ attack in 2018 after being named Ohio Valley Conference Freshman Offensive Player of the Year last season when he passed for 1,148 yards and seven touchdowns and also ran for 453 yards and six scores. He has been named preseason OVC offensive player of the year for the coming season and will test the Georgia defense both running and throwing the football between the hedges on Saturday.
 
 
JAISON WILLIAMS (DL, #2)
 
The highly-touted Georgia offensive line will be tested from the get-go by this guy on Saturday in Sanford Stadium. The 6-1, 225-pound Williams earned Second Team FCS All-America honors last season and is a preseason All-America entering the 2018 campaign. And it’s easy to see why. Williams wreaks havoc for opposing offenses off the edge as during his sophomore year for Austin Peay in 2017 he recorded 9.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles-for-loss and also forced four fumbles. Clearly, the Bulldogs need to get a hat on Williams, early and often in the season opener.
 
 
GUNNAR SCHOLATO (LB, #36)
 
This 6-3, 234-pound senior teams with Jaison Williams as the ringleaders of the Austin Peay defense. Scholato, a first-team All-OVC selection last year and a third-team FCS preseason All-America this season, has led the Govs in tackles the past two years and had a total of 99 stops in his junior season in 2017. Again, the Bulldogs’ offensive front could have its hands full in attempting to keep Scholato off the Georgia running backs and quarterbacks in the season debut.
