Georgia gymnastics senior Morgan Reynolds was named to the SEC Community Service Team. The Community Service Team is announced by the conference for every sport and features one athlete from every institution, honoring them for their work in the community.

 
 
“Morgan just has a servant heart, whether it’s with youth in the community, supporting other Georgia athletes or with Special Olympics, or many other worthy causes,” said Georgia gymnastics head coach Danna Durante. “She is such a good example of what it means to be a student-athlete, finding a way to balance being a student, being an athlete and giving back to the community. She’s always one of the first ones to volunteer for any cause that comes to us and approaches volunteering with great enthusiasm and passion.”
 
 
A native of Athens, Reynolds has routinely given her efforts help others around the Classic City. Since arriving on campus, Reynolds has volunteered with the “In Her Shoes” walk and “AthHalf” Half Marthon for all four years, collected toiletries for the homeless, participated in the Feeding America Hunger Bowl canned food drive and helped with Safe Walks to school.
 
 
The housing major has also volunteered with the Special Olympics, giving her Monday evenings to assisting the athletes however she can. In 2016, she worked with the Stand Strong with Cam fundraiser for a young man dealing with Leukemia.
 
 
Most recently, Reynolds helped the University of Georgia launch the “Build Gales A Dawg House” campaign to raise money to build a handicap-accessible home for former Southern University wide receiver Devon Gales who suffered a spinal injury in a 2015 football game at Sanford Stadium.
