The Georgia gymnastics team (0-1) takes to the road once again for the back end of a season-opening, two-meet stretch away from Stegeman Coliseum as it takes on No. 13 Auburn on Friday night at 7 p.m.

The meet at Auburn Arena will be broadcast to a national TV audience as part of the SEC Network’s “Friday Night Heights” promotion of the sport.

“Our focus this week has been to take the information from last Friday and use it to make us better,” said Gymdogs head coach Danna Durante. “Ultimately the moments that are most painful become your greatest growth opportunities. That’s been our focus going forward. Where can we be better execution-wise? Where can we be better technique-wise in the gym to be able to perform better? We’re looking forward to heading over to Auburn and being back on the competition floor.”

Georgia and Auburn met three times a year ago, with the Tigers claiming a 2-1 advantage. The Gymdogs emerged victorious at the NCAA Championships, where Auburn finished 11th and Georgia advanced to the Super Six.

The Gymdogs, who are searching for their first win of the 2017 campaign, hold a 70-7 all-time record against the Tigers.
